Quick Hand Sanitiser
This quick, easy to make hand sanitiser uses isopropyl alcohol (aka rubbing alcohol) commonly used in medical-grade hand sanitisers and effective in killing almost all germs, viruses and bacteria. Combined with aloe vera to firm up the mixture and add some hydrating and soothing properties, while essential oils of eucalyptus and tea tree add a pleasant scent and are naturally anti-bacterial, although studies are yet to confirm their effectiveness in combating viruses.
Ingredients
- 60mls of isopropyl alcohol (do not use less than this or it will not be 100% effective - you may use more)
- 40mls of aloe vera gel
- 10 drops of eucalyptus radiata essential oil
- 10 drops tea tree essential oil
Method
Place all ingredients in your 100ml serum bottle and shake vigorously. Apply 1 or 2 pumps worth consistently throughout the day and moisturise regularly to prevent skin dryness.
